The Equity Farm & Home Store 2nd location

Altamont, Illinois – The Equity is pleased to announce that as of October 3, 2022, The Equity Farm & Home Store will open a second location. We will be operating in the former Home Center store located at 4 Do-It Dr, Altamont, Illinois that was owned and operated by the Mathias family for many years in the Altamont community. After many years in business, the Mathias family decided it was time to exit the retail business and felt it was a good transition to sell store inventory to The Equity who was already a member of the Do-It-Best franchise family and has a reputation for serving customers in our rural communities.

We are excited to add a new hardware store location to our company in the Altamont community. The Equity has partnered with Do-It-Best for a complete store reset in the coming months. We plan to offer the traditional products you have come to depend on as well as an expanded selection of farm & garden, small seed, grills, boots, Milwaukee tools, and so much more. The weekend hours of the store will be adjusted slightly to match our store in Effingham. Be assured that the current management and service team you have come to know, and trust will remain ready and willing to serve you. We are excited about this store addition and the opportunity the future holds.

The store will be closed Monday, October 3rd through Sunday, October 9th during the transition from The Home Center to The Equity Farm & Home Store.
